Never before have we witnessed such a rapid and grand rise and fall of an economic phenomenon than the past few years of the 'New Economy'. Never before have researchers lagged so far behind consultants and practitioners in the setting of models for operation; so exhaustive and fast has been the pace - and so dramatic the turns. At an hour like this, in particular, it is vital to show faith and move on, together, towards new forms of border-crossing cooperation.

As part of the eTampere program (www.etampere.fi), and under the eEurope initiative, eBRC has been launched to create new platforms for turning e-business research from ideas to knowledge. This event has the mission of enhancing interaction between researchers, businesses, and research funders, and it comprises of separate "tracks" for practitioners and researchers. You can attend either one or both tracks.
V2C Forum 2001 is the opening event of MindTrek 2001, the largest annual festival on digital media in the Nordic countries (www.mindtrek.org). Every year, the MindTrek events gather thousands of researchers, business-people, and hobbyists for a few days in Tampere.
